    Progress of Researches on Fluorescence Analysis Techniques for Determination of Components in Cigarette Smoke

    • A review on the recent progress of researches on fluorescence analysis techniques for determination of components in cigarette smoke was presented, relating especially to techniques for determination of free radical, the reaction products of free radical, phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and tobacco-dirived nitrosamines. Suitable approaches such as fluorescent probes, synchronous fluorescence, time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, derivatization or in series with chromatography, could be choosen to improve the detection sensitivity, depending on the analytes. Prospects on the trends of development in this field were also given (32 ref. cited).
