Abstract
RP-HPLC was applied to the determination of monostearate, distearate and tristearate in tri-(hydroxyethyl) amine stearate. The sample was separated by gradient elution with a mixed solution of methanol and chloroform in different ratios on C18 Silica-bonded column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm). ESA detector was used in the determination. Linearity ranges for triethanolamine monostearate, distearate and tristearate were kept in ranges of 2.0-50.0, 1.0-50.0, 1.2-50.0 mg·L-1, and values of detection limit (3S/N) found were 1.8, 0.5, 1.0 mg·L-1, respectively.
