Study on Interaction of Gatifloxacin with Pepsin by Fluorospectrophotometry
The interaction between gatifloxacin (GTFX) and pepsin (PS) in a KCl-HCl medium of pH 2.0 was studied by fluorospectrophotometry. Mechanism of quenching of fluorescence of PS by GTFX was discussed, which was proved to be a process of static quenching. Quenching constant (KSV), combination constant of (K) and number of combination sites (n) at 3 different temperatures of 288 K, 298 K, 310 K were determined.
