GC-MS Determination of Organic Pollutants in Air of Laser Carving Workshop

A method of GC-MS for the determination of organic pollutants in air of plexi-glass laser carving workshop was reported in this paper.The pollutants,including benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene,styrene and dichloromethane,chloroform and methyl-methacrylate in the air of laser carving workshop were collected and concentrated with a cold trap and determined by GC-MS.Analytical results showed that benzene and toluene were the main pollutants,amounting to 0.96 and 1.08 mg·m-3 respectively,which were 8.7 and 5.4 times over the tolerable concentrations prescribed in the standard.
