FAAS Determination of 10 Trace Elements in Human Hair with Microwave Assisted Sample Digstion

    • Sample of human Hair (0.200 0 g) was digested with 5.0 mL of HNO3 and 1.0 mL of H2O2, and ions of 10 trace elements obtained in sample solution were determined by FAAS (for Ca, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Pb, Cd, Co and Ni) and HG-AFS (for Se). La solution was added to eliminate the interferences of coexisting elements in the determination of Ca. Standard curves of the 10 elements were prepared by using the respective standard solutions, and linear regression equations with correlation coefficients from 0.998 5 to 0.999 9, were obtained. Values of detection limit (3σ) found were in the range of 0.002-0.009 mg·L-1. Using sample of human hair as matrix, test for recovery was made by standard addition method, and the values of recovery found were in the range of 95.6%-103.5%.
