Abstract
Sodium ion selective electrode was used in the determination of Na+ in Vitamin C (VC). It was found that excellent selectivity and potential response toward Na+ were achieved by the ion selective electrode, which showed Nernst potential response in the range of 1.0-10.0 mg·L-1 with slop of 55.18 mV·pc-1 in a medium of pH≥10. Recovery was tested by standard addition method on the base of samples taken during production process of Vitamin C, results of recovery found were in the range of 85.4%-99.0% with RSD (n=6) in the range of 1.3%-1.4%.
