FAAS Determination of 6 Metal Elements in Peony Grown in He′ze

Six metal elements,i.e.,Cu,Zn,Fe,Mn,Ni and Co,in peony grown in He′ze were determined by FAAS. Peony sample was ashed,ignited and the residue was taken up with HNO3(2+98). Standard curves of the 6 elements were prepared by using the respective standard solutions,and linear relationships with correlation coefficients in the range from 0.993 7 to 0.999 0,were obtained. Recoveries,obtained by standard addition method,were in the range of 99.0%-105.3%. On the base of the analytical results,a brief discussion on the exploitation of peony was given.
