    FAAS Determination of Iron and Manganese in Sea Water with Co-precipitation Enrichment and Micro-quantity Sample-introduction

    • Iron and manganese in sea water were enriched by co-precipitation with Mg(OH)2,and the precipitate obtained was dissolved in 1.0 mL of HNO3(1+3).An aliquot of 250 μL of the solution was introduced into the instrument for FAAS determination of iron and manganese.Matrix effect of sea water was eliminated by this treatment.This method was applied to analysis of coastal sea water samples taken from Beilun harbor.Detection limits found were 6.4 μg·L-1 and 3.0 μg·L-1 for Fe(Ⅲ) and Mn(Ⅱ) respectively.
