Abstract
IC was used to determine the concentration of 17 ions in acid rain collected at different period. The sample was centrifuged before undergoing filtration with 0.45 μm filtering membrane. The filtrate obtained was subjected to separation on Shodex SI-52 4E column for anion using 3.6 mmol·L-1 Na2CO3-0.6 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 buffer solution as eluant and on TSK-GEL column using 2 mmol·L-1 HNO3 solution as eluent, the analytes were detected using conductivity detection in the ion chromatography. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of the 17 ions were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits (3S/N) found were ranged from 1.4 to 18.7 μg·L-1. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 95.0%-105%, with RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 1.7%-7.2%.
