    XRFS Determination of 22 Elements (Additive or Worn Metals) in Lubricant Oil

    • Twenty two elements present as additives or worn metals in lubricant oil were determined by XRFS.The methods of theoretical α coefficient and empirical coefficient were used for correction of matrix effect.Round Robin reference samples of lubricant oil of the year 2009 were analyzed as unknown samples by the present method,giving results in consistency with both the known values,and the values found by ICP-AES.Values of detection limits of the 22 elements were ranged from 0.3 to 9.5 μg·g-1.Values of RSD′s (n=7) found for these elements were in the range from 0.2% to 11.1%.
