Determination of Au and Fe in Precious Metals and Alloys by ICP-AES

An ICP-AES method for the determination of Au and Fe in platinum,palladium and Pd-Ir alloy was proposed.Working parameters,selection of analytical lines and matrix effects were experimentally investigated.As shown by experimental results,the accuracy and precision of the method met the requirements for the determinations mentioned above.Values of RSD′s (n=8) of the determination were ≤10%.Values of recovery found were in the range of 90%-102%.
