    UHPLC Determination of Residual Amounts of 10 Sulfonamides in Meat of Livestock and Poultry

    • UHPLC was applied to the determination of residual amounts of 10 sulfonamides in meat of livestock or poultry. The sample was extracted by mixed solvent of acetic acid-acetonitrile (1+99), and the extracts were concentrated by rotary evaporator. The residue obtained was dissolved with acetic acid (0.1+99.9) solution, and defatted with n-hexane. The sulfonamides in the solution were separated on Acquity UPLC BEH C18 column by gradient elution with mixtures of acetonitrile and acetic acid (0.1+99.9) solution in different ratios, and determined with diode array detector at the wavelength of 265 nm. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of the 10 sulfonamides were obtained in the same range of 0.05-10 mg·L-1, with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 2-6 μg·kg-1. Values of recovery and RSD′s (n=9) of the method found were in the ranges of 70.8%-93.3% and 2.7%-7.7% respectively.
