ICP-AES Determination of Microamount of Phosphorus in Ferromanganese

ICP-AES was applied to the determination of phosphorus in ferromanganese.The sample was dissolved with HCl,HNO3 and HClO4,and the spectrum of wavelength of 178.287 nm was selected as analytical line for the determination of P in sample solution.Physical interferences and matrix effect were eliminated by using standard samples having their matrixes similar to the matrixes of the samples and analyzing under the same analytical conditions.Under the optimum conditions,the value of RSD (n=12) found was 0.49%,and value of recovery found was 102.4%.The proposed method was used in the analysis of 3 standard samples,the results obtained agreed with standard values.
