    CV-AFS Determination of Mercury in the Water-Purifying Agent-Poly Aluminum Chloride

    • CV-AFS with intermittent FI sample introduction was applied to the determination of mercury in the water purifying agent-poly aluminum chloride.Analytical parameters of the instrument,including negative high voltage,lamp current,flow-rate of carrier gas and shielding gas,were studied and optimized.Linear relationship between values of fluorescence intensity and mass concentration of mercury was kept in the range of 0.1-2.0 μg·L-1,and the detection limit (3s) found was 0.05 μg·L-1.Substantial samples of poly-aluminum chloride were analyzed by the proposed method for the mercury contents,giving value of RSD (n=7) of 1.93%.
