Abstract
A method of iodometric method for the determination of macro-amount or high-amount of potassium ferrate was proposed. Sample of potassium ferrate was dissolved in KI solution (pH 11-12), and pH values of sample solution was adjusted to 1. After 40 min, the above solution was titrated using sodium thiosulfate standard solution as titrant. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of potassium ferrate, and results obtained were in conformity with those obtained by the method of chromite titration.
