    ICP-AES Determination of Six Trace Elements in a new Zirconium Alloy after Separation by Cation-exchange Resin

    • The new zirconium alloy sample was dissolved with HNO3 and HF.Zirconium(Ⅳ) and niobium(Ⅴ) of the alloy in sample salution were separated from the 6 elements by cation-exchange resin.Contents of Al,Ba,Cu,Ni,Ti and V were determined in the eluant of 2.0 mol·L-1 HNO3 solution by ICP-AES.Influential factors,including concentration,pH and amount of eluent used to separate Zr and Nb,flow rate of carrier gas,were studied.Under the optimized experimental conditions,values of RSD′s (n=6) of Al,Ba,Cu,Ni,Ti found were in the range of 3.0%-7.9%,and values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 93.8%-110.0%.
