    Determination of 11 Elements In Medlar by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry

    • An ICP-AES method for the determination of Zn,Pb,Mn,Fe,Cr,Mg,Ca,Cu,Na,K and Cd in medlar was proposed.The HNO3 (2+98) solution was chosen as acid medium,and spectral lines with wavelengths of 213.86,220.35,257.61,259.94,267.72,279.08,324.75,317.93,589.59,766.49 and 226.50 nm were selected as analytical lines for the determination of Zn,Pb,Mn,Fe,Cr,Mg,Ca,Cu,Na,K and Cd respectively.Detection limits (3δ) for the 11 elements found were less than 0.07 mg·L-1,and values of RSD′s (n=11) were in the range of 0.72%-2.40%.The samples were treated by 3 different methods,including wet digestion method,pressurized digestion in a closed teflon vessel and microwave assisted sample digestion method.It was found that precision of analytical results obtained by the latter 2 methods were better than those obtained by the first one.
