    Simultaneous Determination of 13 Residual Organic Solvents in Compound Plastic Film for Food Packaging by Head-space Gas Chromatography

    • Thirteen residual organic solvents,including several benzene homologous,alcohols,ketones and esters,in compound plastic film for food packaging were determined by head-space-GC. The temperature and time chosen for equilibration of the sample in the head-space vessel were 100 ℃ and 30 min respectively. Capillary chromatographic column of CP-WAX (50 m×0.25 mm,0.2 μm) was used for the separation,and hydrogen FID was adopted in the determination. Under the optimum conditions,the 13 organic solvents were separated within 25 min. Linearity ranges of the 13 organic solvents were kept in the same range of 0.086-1.72 mg·m-2,with lower limits of determination (10S/N) in the range of 0.003-0.007 mg·m-2. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of compound plastic film samples,and values of recovery found by standard addition method were ranged from 90.5%-98.7%,with RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 1.85%-4.86%.
