Abstract
It was shown that in the practice of HG-AFS,specialized or exclusive instrumental working conditions should be chosen for different types or models of the atomic fluorescence spectrophotometer. It was reported that in the determination of trace amount of arsenic by HG-AFS using the AFS-820 Bi-channel atomic fluorescence spectrophotometer, working conditions of the instrument (including lamp current and negative high voltage) and chemical conditions of sample solution (including acidity and concentration of reagents added) were studied and optimized.Under the optimum conditions, detection limit of the method was found to be 0.34 μg·L-1.Precision was tested at the concentration level of 40 μg·L-1 with 11 determinations, values of RSD′s calculated from the data of fluorescence intensity measured was 1.4%.
