Abstract
Capillary electrophoresis (CE) was applied to enantiomorphous separation of 3 un-derivatized amino acids,i.e.,phenylalanine,tyrosin,tryptophan,and a chiral drug,“Fenfluramine”,and the water soluble carboxymethyl-poly-β-cyclodextrin (CM-poly-β-CD) was used as chiral selective agent.Under the mode of zone electrophoresis, conditions for the separation, including the concentration of CM-poly-β-CD,pH-value of buffer solution, temperature and pressure of the column were tested individually and optimized.Under the respective optimum condition, enantiomorphous separation of each of the 4 chiral compounds was attained and clear separation from the baseline was observed. The proposed method was found feasible to be applied to quality control of the 4 chiral compounds.
