    GC Determination of Acetone, Butanone, Methyl Isobutyl Ketone and Cyclohexanone in Air of Workplace

    • Contents of acetone, butanone, methyl isobutyl ketone and cyclohexanone in air of workplace were determined by gas chromatography. Air sample containing the 4 ketones was collected by adsorption with activated carbon tube, and desorbed with CS2. HP-FFAP column was used for separation, and FID was used for determination. Values of detection limit (2S/N) of acetone, butanone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone found were 9, 5, 1 and 0.4 mg·L-1 respectively. Values of recovery and RSD′s (n=8) found were in the ranges of 87.8%-105% and 3.6%-5.2% respectively. Values of rate of desorption efficiency were in the range of 88.6%-98.8%.
