Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometric Determination of 13 Elements in Bio-samples

    • Thirteen metal and non-metal elements (Al,Ba,K,Na,Ca,Mg,Mn,Fe,Sr,Ti,P,S,B) in bio-samples were determined by ICP-AES under robust condition of ICP with values of high frequency power and carrier gas pressure of 1 150 W and 1.92×105Pa respectively. The bio-sample was digested with acid mixture of conc.HNO3 and conc.HCl (mixed with the ratio of 3 to 1 by volume) in a pressure digestor. Two drops of HF (ca.0.1 mL) were added for complete dissolution of samples, especially for samples containing Al,Ba and Ti.Final concentration of the acid mixture in the sample solution was chosen as one part of the HNO3-HCl acid mixture in 10 parts of total volume of solution,e.g.2.5 mL of the HNO3-HCl mixture was used to dissolve 0.5 g of sample, and the solution was diluted to 25 mL in a graduated flask after digestion.Calibration curve was prepared by using a CRM bio-sample (GBW 07602) treated simultaneously in the same way as the testing sample.Feasibility of the proposed method was tested by analyzing several CRM′s (GBW 10014,GBW 10015,GBW 10046,GBW 07604 and etc.),and the results obtained were in consistency with the certified values.
