Abstract
HPLC was applied for the determination of copper 8-hydroxyquinoline in wood. The sample was diluted in methanol and extracted twice by ultrasonic. The extract was then separated on a reversed-phase C18 column with a mixture of methanol and ammonium acetate-acetic acid as mobile phase. The DAD-detection at the wavelength of 257 nm was used. The linear relationship was found between the peak area and the mass concentration of the copper 8-hydroxyquinoline was in the range of 0.1-10.0 mg·L-1,with detection limit (3S/N) of 0.06 mg·kg-1. Recovery rates obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 76.4%-94.2%,with RSD′s (n=3) in the range of 3.2%-7.5%.
