    XRFS Analysis of Industrial Strontium Carbonate Without Using Standard Sample

    • Strontium,barium,calcium and sulfur in insudtrial strontium carbonate was determined by XRFS using the IQ+software instead of standard samples.The disc-sample for XRFS analysis was prepared from strontium carbonate powder sample by mould-pressing under a pressure of 15 MPa for 30 s,using starch as adhesive.Accuracy of the proposed method was proved by checking the analytical results with the results obtained by the chemical method (HG/T 2969-1999) in analyzing 10 samples.As shown by the data,for the content of SrCO3,deviation of less than 0.3% from the results of chemical method was found,and value of RSD (n=11) found was 0.034%.Significant deviations were found for the results of BaCO3 in the sample,and this problem was solved by applying the curve-fitting method,thus making the results to be in consistency.Only 16 min were required for analysis of a sample by this method.
