    FAAS Determination of 11 Elements of Microamounts in Anticancer Chinese Herbal Medicines

    • FAAS was applied to the determination of microamounts of Ca,Mg,Mn,Cu,Fe,Zn,Cd,Pb,Co,Ni and Cr in 20 kinds of anti-cancer Chinese herbal medicines.The medicine sample was ashed at 600 ℃ for 1.5 h and the residue was dissolved in 3 mL of conc.HNO3.After dilution to 50 mL in a volumetric flask,the solution was used for FAAS determinations.As shown by the experimental results,the medicines were not only abundant in Ca,Mg and Fe,but also rich in Zn,Mn and Cu,which were benefitial to human health.Tests for recovery of the 11 elements were made by standard addition method,values of recovery found were in the range of 92.3%-107.5%,with values of RSD′s (n=5) in the range of 2.2%-5.2%.
