Abstract
In a base solution of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde in 0.072 mol·L-1 H2SO4,Ge(Ⅳ) was determined by differential pulse polarography at peak potential of -0.53 V (vs.Ag/AgCl).Linear relationship was kept between the peak current and concentration of Ge(Ⅳ) in the range from 1.03×10-5-1.04×10-4mol·L-1.The proposed method was applied to the determination of total germanium, inorganic germanium and organic germanium in 2 Mongolian Drugs,namely.A-Ga-Ri-35 and A-Ga-Ri-8.In a study of the 2 drugs by Fourier transform-infrared spectrometry, significant differences were found in their IR spectra,on the base of which, the above mentioned 2 drugs could be differentiated.
