Abstract
Amounts of K,Ca,Na,Zn,Fe and Mg in 3 brands of infant milk powder were determined by flame atomic absorption spetrometry. The samples were treated by ashing and acid dissolution. The working conditions of the instrument were described in detail.Linear relationships between values of absorbances and mass concentrations of the 6 metal elements were obtained.Concents obtained were 779.41,563.69,779.37 mg/100 g (K),627.56,430.33,488.6 mg/100 g (Ca),254.6,163.5,223.3 mg/100 g (Na),5.90,4.98,6.04 mg/100 g (Zn),8.86,7.11,8.00 mg/100 g (Fe) and 55.2,46.4,81.3 mg/100 g (Mg),respectively. The values mentioned above were in agreement with the requirements of national standard GB/T 10766-1997.
