Abstract
A method of GC was set up to detect mono ethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA) and triethanolamine (TEA) simultaneously. At the selected condition, MEA, DEA and TEA were well separated, qualified by the retention time and quantified by the external standard method. Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of 3 ethanolamine was obtained in the same range of 0.50-15.0 g·L-1, the correlation coefficients were 0.999 4, 0.999 6, 0.999 5, and detection limits (3S/N) were 0.71, 0.63, 0.97 mg·L-1 respectively. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of alkanolamide (1∶1), alkanolamide (1∶1.5) and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid triethanolamine, giving values of recovery measured by standard addition method in the ranges of 95.2%-105%, 96.4%-104%, 96.4%-105%, respectively, values of RSD′s (n=5) in the range of 1.1%-2.2%.
