    Distribution and Determination of Cadmium in Lead-Acid Battery

    • The distribution and determination of cadmium in lead-acid battery were studied by FAAS. It was found that the content of Cd in the positive grid attained to about 94% of the total content of Cd in whole lead-acid battery, and the mass of Cd in whole lead-acid battery was about 1.06 times of the Cd content in the positive grid. When Cd content (w1) in a single positive grid was determined, the total Cd content in the whole lead-acid battery could be calculated by multiplying w1, by n (the number of positive grid) and the correction factor, K (generally taking 1.06) and dividing by the mass of the lead-acid battery m0.
