Abstract
A review on the recent progress and the future prospects of analytical methods for the determination of iodine,either present naturally or added artificially in foodstuffs,was presented,covering mainly the years from 1988 to 2007,including chemical analysis,molecular spectrometry,atomic spectrometry,electrochemical methods,chromatography,mass spectrometry and neutron activation methods (80 ref.cited).
