    GFAAS Determination of Trace Amount of Antimony in Food Packing Material with Cloud Point Extraction

    • Trace amount of Sb (Ⅲ) was separated and enriched from the sample solution buffered at pH 5 with acetate buffer in the form of a coordination complex with APDC by cloud point extraction using Triton X-114 as surfactant.An aliquot of the surfactant phase was taken and dissolved in 0.1 mol·L-1 nitric acid-methanol solution and its antimony content was determined by GF-AAS.Factors influential to cloud point extraction,and interferences of co-existing ions were studied and optimized.Detection limit (3σ/k) of the method was found to be 0.37 μg·L-1.Value of recovery of 99.3% was obtained by the recovery test with standard addition method.
